Rising 798 meters in central Sri Lanka, Bible Rock is an iconic flat-topped mountain resembling an open book that historically served as a strategic Kandyan Kingdom watchtower.

Why visit Bible Rock

• Distinctive Shape: The mountain is known as "Bible Rock" because it looks like an open book from a distance. Its flat top also makes it look like Sigiriya. Thus, it is also known as "Little Sigiriya".
• Accessible Trek: The hike to the summit is relatively easy. The climb from the trailhead is about 300–500 meters elevation gain.
• Panoramic Views: The summit is a large, flat plain. It offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. You can see places like Ambuluwawa and the Alagalla Range.
