Milk coffee, locally called "Kiri Kopi," is Sri Lanka's everyday milky coffee served at roadside "kopi kades," made from strong brewed coffee mixed with milk and sugar; it reflects the island's lesser-known coffee heritage, once one of the world's largest coffee exporters before the industry shifted to Ceylon tea in the 19th century.
